Empty Products & Recycling Programmes

Empty product posts are my favourite to read as I really do feel they give a good, honest representation of the product. Its very rare I get through a full tube, bottle or tub of a beauty product as I'm constantly indulging on new (and hopefully improved) products which most likely do the exact same thing as the last, but hey this can't just be me?
Here is a list of all the products I have ran out of the last couple of months. Some I would repurchase, others not so much.
Also keep an eye out at the bottom of the post for a few recycling programmes I know about...

GHD Curve - Review

I was super lucky to receive a GHD Curve from my boyfriend for christmas and it really has become a staple hair tool of mine. I really do trust GHD as a brand, especially as my original GHD hair straighteners are still going strong when I bought them during the no eyebrow, Dream Matte Mouse stage (wow, that was almost 10 years ago!). I am a 'don't brush my hair everyday', kinda' girl. I love the bedhead, messy look. I most probably look like I've just strolled out of bed, but hey who has time to brush there hair when winged liner is way more important?

Whats on my wish list?

As a beauty obsessive I constantly have a wish-list on the go where I dream about all the things I wish I could buy (but well and truly have ran out of my months makeup fund)! This list is a growing one and it is constantly being topped up. Brands are launching new products on a weekly basis with so many influencers raving about them. I get sucked in easily! I thought I would write down a few items on my wish list and would love to hear your thoughts on these products if you have them, or are dreaming of them too!

Kylie Cosmetics Royal Peach Palette - Review

The Kylie Cosmetics Royal Peach Palette has been on my wish list ever since those  shadows were swatched on her arm in her snapchat story. The pigmentation seemed stunning and I had to try these out for myself (like every other new product - whoops). There is so much to say about this palette. Where do I even start...?

Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer - Review

OK, I admit...I got totally and utterly sucked into buying this concealer from the massive hype all the American bloggers & YouTubers made surrounding this concealer, especially when all of a sudden the Naked Skin Concealer got left behind. When I heard radiance, extremely full coverage and not needing to set, I was sold. Was it worth the hype?

Too Faced Hangover Primer - Review

I have never really been a lover of primers. I have pretty much had every one that claims it minimises pores, smoothes texture, hydrates the skin although prevents oil, although I have never really noticed a huge difference when using them.

When buying a product I find there is always 4 things you should always want to take into consideration. The Product, The Price, The Packaging and where to Purchase...

TOP 10 Makeup Brushes

Before I started working on my first makeup counter 3 years ago brushes were something I would never want to buy, especially not high end ones. I never really understood the hype and spending £20+ on a makeup brush was never really an option for me. Because I hadn't used a higher quality brush I never really new the difference and thought my foundation brush from boots would do the job.
Makeup Brushes are such an investment, they are expensive and it takes some saving or buying one a month to get your collection up but it really is worth getting the right ones. The quality of the brushes are instantly noticible and they have really changed my application of my makeup. The better quality brush the better application. I feel like having the right tools on the job you can do anythaanngg!
I have linked all the items, just click on the brush name and it will direct you to where you can get hold of them...

2016 Skincare Favorites

"Skin first, makeup second, smile always"

2016 was definitely a challenging year for my skin. In the very beginning of the year I was finally diagnosed with adult acne. I had nothing but problems with my skin for years, breaking out pretty severely on my chin area constantly. I would think that the spots were finally going then BAM, a swarm of red, angry volcanos on my face, it weren't pretty! No makeup would hold to it, I was always super conscious of the texture of my skin when makeup was on and being a makeup artist my self it really knocked my confidence. I did get prescribed antibiotics and a strong cream to use which well and truly worked wonders for my skin and I totally changed my diet. I slowly weaned my self off the medication and these are the products I have used ever since. My skin has been the best its been since I was around 16 years old and I couldn't be happier and more confident that these are the products (and my change of diet) which made that happen...

2016 Haircare Favourites

I have had my hair bleached for a quite a long time now and I absolutely love it. I really don't like any type of warmth in my hair so going grey/white was a perfect move for me, although naturally I did worry about the condition of my hair. I have never really got greasy hair which has resulted in it being pretty dry. I haven't owned a hair dryer for years after it blew up on me mid hair dry, freaked me RIGHT out! Isaac also hates hairdryers...and hand dryers...bacically anything with a really loud, long noise, so I just never bothered repurchasing one. The condition of my hair is pretty good and in 2016 I made a conscious effort to keep it that way, these products have well & truly made that happen (with the help of my hair god hairdresser)! Here is a round up of my 2016 Haircare Favourites and I promise you, they are good!

2016 Makeup Favorites

For my first blog post I thought it was only right to do a 2016 Beauty favourites (original right?). I have written 3 posts all relating to my 2016 beauty favourites including Makeup, Haircare & Skincare. These products have really stood out for me this year, I like SO many products but its extremly rare I LOVE products and use them continuously all year. I have rifled through my extensive makeup collection and picked out my 'If I were to be stuck on a desert island' products (yes baking on a desert island would be essential!) or more realistically, if I had to use these products and only these products forever these are the ones I would choose.
The beauty industry is growing at such a fast pace. Trends are changing on a monthly basis and I can't wait too see what the most iconic brands will produce in 2017. I have linked every item so if you want to check them out just click the title of the product! I would love to read or watch your 2016 favourites, please leave links in the comments below!
Happy new year!

The reason behind the blog...

Since I can remember I was always the one in the school with the UGG Boots sneaked on and too much Bourjois Clubbing mascara. From a young age I always had a niggle in my mind that the beauty industry was something I longed to be able to be apart of, although growing up I never thought it was sufficient enough to have as a career. Living around people who were taking such a different directions in life I seemed to think that I should be striving for 'more'...
