Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer - Review

OK, I admit...I got totally and utterly sucked into buying this concealer from the massive hype all the American bloggers & YouTubers made surrounding this concealer, especially when all of a sudden the Naked Skin Concealer got left behind. When I heard radiance, extremely full coverage and not needing to set, I was sold. Was it worth the hype?

Shape Tape Contour Concealer
"A vegan friendly, creamy concealer for radiant coverage and contouring. Containing Shea Butter & Vitamin E."

My Skin Type
I get a little oily in my T-Zone, mostly on my chin area although pretty normal/dehydrated everywhere else.

The Product
I did think this concealer would be a little more hydrating, especially as Tarte claimed it would be radiant, although the finish of this is well and truly matteI always tend to apply eye cream before I apply my concealer which in hindsight I'm glad I did as I have a feeling it would have been a little too matte for me had I not.
I used my damp Beauty Blender whilst tapping the shade Light under my eyes to blend out. The coverage was extremely full which I loved although I did find the consistency was quite tough which meant a little more time was spent blending it in. This concealer is super full coverage and I mean, full coverage. I now know what everyone meant about not needing to set this concealer as it pretty much sets it for you.
I used the shade Medium Light Honey on a few blemishes which covered with the tiniest dab of concealer. I went back in after a minute or so to re-blend another area and I did find it disturbed it slightly so I did find you gotta be quick, then leave it be.
The shade Light was very pink toned, it reminded me of MAC NW15 concealer.
The shade Medium-Light honey reminded me of NW25-30 concealer.

The Price
Shape Tape Concealer 10ml Tarte.com - £19.00
Shape Tape Concealer & Sponge online at QVC.com - £28.00

The Packaging
The bottom part of the packaging almost reminds me of the MAC Prolong-wear Concealer although about twice the size. Its huge! It has a tapered wand which is also huge so you can apply the product precisely and I love how it disperses the perfect amount of product due to the stopper.

How To Purchase
You can purchase Shape Tape Concealer on line at (TarteCosmetics.com)
or at (QVC.com).
I ensured I spent £50.00 to qualify for free international delivery (hence why I bought 3) from Tarte.com although I was hit with £18 tax...killer!

Once I finished the rest of my makeup I loved it. The process of blending in and fiddling around a bit made it totally worth it for the finish. It almost made under the eyes look photo shopped in photos and in real life it looked flawless, really counteracting any darkness with it being more pink toned. Im totally converted.
On combination/normal skin I would say this would be brilliant for you, or more dry/dehydrated skin I would highly recommend ensuring the skin is super hydrated and prepped before use.

Have you tried this concealer before? Im desperate to purchase more Tarte now!

Thank you for reading!
Hannah.  x
